Technical Education: Advance Beauty College
Advance Beauty College (ABC) is a nationally accredited and recognized award-winning beauty college led by second-generation owners Linh and Tam Nguyen. Their family has successfully operated beauty colleges in Southern California for 36 years, graduating 50,000 into the workforce. ABC is accredited through the National Accrediting Commission of Career Arts and Sciences (NACCAS), approved by the California Board of Barbering and Cosmetology (BBC) and the California Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education (BPPE). The college is also a proud member of the American Association of Cosmetology Schools (AACS), where Tam served on the board of directors, and Linh has provided nail industry expertise. In 2004, Derrick was appointed by President George W. Bush to the President’s Advisory Commission on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders.
